Licensed Psychologist

Life can be stressful and overwhelming at times.

You may struggle with asking for help because you’re too busy worrying about everyone and everything around you, and don’t feel like you have the time or energy to take care of yourself.

This can ultimately lead to feeling exhausted, irritable, resentful, frustrated, and sad. But how are you supposed to find the time to deal with all of these unpleasant feelings when you are constantly putting others before yourself?

You may tell yourself that you can handle everything on your own because asking for support isn’t something that comes easy for you.

Dr. Jacqueline Purrinos

You don’t have to do this alone…I want you to know that asking for help is a sign of bravery and strength.

You are worthy of receiving help. You deserve to live a happy and fulfilling life. You deserve to feel better.

You put so much time, effort, and energy into all other areas of your life, but often neglect the area that is the most important…yourself!

Now is the time to invest in YOU.

I am here to tell you that feeling better is possible.

There are moments throughout our lives when additional support is needed in order to navigate the ups and downs that we are presented with.

Therapy can help guide you through these life circumstances and improve your overall well-being…and that’s where I come in!

I’m here to walk beside you as you navigate life’s challenges. Together, we will work collaboratively to get you through the adversities that are holding you back from living a satisfied life. It may be difficult at times, but I am here to support you as you blossom into the best version of yourself.

“This too shall pass.”

No matter what you are going through in life, your struggles are temporary.

As long as you are open to holding space for things to change, your view on life can improve and positive change is achievable!

Hope is a key element in my approach. I want you to hold onto hope that you can heal and grow. I am here to help you cross the bridge from where you are now to where and who you want to be.

You will learn to love yourself…flaws and all.

Everyone is on their own journey, which is why your therapy will be personalized to fit your individual needs.

I want to get to know you and understand the journey that led you to therapy. We will work together in a collaborative way to talk through your struggles, heal open wounds by connecting your past experiences to the present, change negative thinking patterns, increase your self-esteem and confidence, and develop healthy coping skills to improve your day-to-day life.

You know yourself and your story the best. I will serve as a mirror to reflect things about yourself that you may not have realized if we had not looked together, and I will do so in a way that is free of any judgment.

Our therapeutic relationship will be the foundation that will promote positive change. My goal is to make sure you feel understood with the confident, compassionate approach I bring to the therapeutic space. I promise to create a safe and trusting environment that you can feel comfortable in. My calm and personable nature will make you feel at ease from the moment we first meet.

Taking things one step at a time…one moment at a time…we will work together to help you achieve the progress you are looking for.

About me…

Fostering deep, meaningful connections with others is my passion…

From a young age, I have always been interested in human connection and emotions. I have always wanted to understand what drives people and what life experiences made them who they are today.

I am a nurturer at heart, which I feel allows me to understand humans on a deeper level. This quality of mine has provided me with ongoing confirmation that a career in psychology is what I’m meant to be doing.

I continuously feel so humbled and grateful to have the opportunity to experience my patients while they share the most vulnerable parts of themselves as they work towards healing and growth. It truly is a blessing to have a career in which others can make a lasting impact on me, just as I am able to make an impact on them.

I have experience working with individuals from all age ranges, who come into therapy with lots of different presenting concerns ranging from anxiety to family concerns to eating disorders, and so much more.

I feel my purpose is to empower others to recognize their full potential and understand they are deserving of all the good and beautiful things that life has to offer!

When I’m not doing therapy…

I love to spend time with my family and friends. I also love going to the beach…it’s my happy place! Traveling to new places is something I try to do as much as possible. I also love watching reality TV shows (The Real Housewives are my favorite), going on walks with my dog, Riley, and trying new restaurants (I always peek at the dessert menu first- I have a major sweet tooth)!
