Evaluations

SMPG provides a variety of comprehensive psychological, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological evaluations to meet your testing needs. Gifted testing is also administered to help with academic placement. Testing is provided in a confidential and comfortable setting for children, adolescents, and adults. Evaluations provide a variety of important information including:

  • Diagnostic information (e.g., Do I or  my child have a learning disability or ADHD? Do my symptoms meet criteria for a specific disorder?) 

  • Determining whether a child is achieving at an appropriate level.

  • Documentation of learning difficulties and the need for accommodations during standardized testing (e.g., FCAT, SAT)

  • Identification of learning style, including cognitive strengths and weakneses for both children and adults.

  • Providing psychiatrists findings that can aid in medical interventions.
