Licensed Clinical Social Worker

You deserve to feel heard, understood, and supported…

Do you feel overwhelmed? Are you struggling with big emotions? Do you find it hard to connect with others or feel like nobody understands you?

You might feel like your problems are so big that nobody will be able to help you, but you don’t have to go through this alone.

Let’s work together.

Growing up can be hard. Many adolescents and children face mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, concerning behavior, and interpersonal difficulties, that can be tough to manage on their own. Therapy can provide a non-judgmental space to talk about feelings and develop coping strategies to help navigate daily life.

Andrea Primelles, LCSW

I understand that taking the first step in seeking help can be tough but know that it’s a brave and important choice.

Therapy is not about changing who you are, but rather helping you become the best version of yourself.

“Every person on this earth is full of great possibilities that can be realized through imagination, effort, and perseverance.” –Scott Barry Kaufman

I believe that each person is the expert of their own life.

My approach to therapy is collaborative and client-centered. My role is to provide a safe space where we can work together to explore your experiences and develop strategies for personal development and growth.

Using a Systems Theory approach, we will explore how your experiences are connected to the larger systems in your life – your family, community, school, etc. This approach will help us identity patterns and connections that may be contributing to your challenges and work on strategies to address them.

In our sessions, you can expect a warm and welcoming atmosphere where we can work together to highlight your strengths and explore areas where you may be struggling.

“Children are likely to live up to what you believe of them.” – Lady Bird Johnson

My easy-going and playful personality gives me a natural ability to relate well with children and adolescents. I’m passionate about helping young people find their voice, build resilience, and develop the skills they need to thrive in life.

I work collaboratively with children and adolescents to create a personalized plan that meets their unique needs and helps them achieve their goals.

I believe in the power of unconditional positive regard. I will always approach our work together with acceptance and respect for who you are. I’ll be there to listen and support you.

We’ll work together to set goals and identify areas where you’d like to see change or growth. I’ll offer guidance and support, but ultimately, you are in the driver’s seat. I’ll be there to help you navigate challenges, explore your experiences, and develop new skills and coping strategies that work specifically for you.

About me…

I am a proud Social Worker with a passion for empowering clients to become their best selves.

As a social worker, one of my core beliefs is that every person has inherent dignity and worth. I believe that everyone has potential to grow and change, and that everyone has something valuable to offer the world.

My work in the school system has given me a unique perspective and insight into the obstacles that children face today. With my youthful energy and perspective, I am able to connect with children and teenagers in a way that makes it easier for them to trust and open up to me.

My own personal experiences have shaped my career path and my commitment to helping others. From a young age, I knew that I had a calling to provide unconditional support to others.

I am passionate about making a difference in the lives of those I work with, and I am committed to helping them overcome their challenges and reach their potential.

When I am not in the office…

You can find me outside – tending to my garden, cycling, or simply soaking up some sun! I love spending time with my loved ones and being a proud dog mom.
